Our Women's Ministry is a group of women who are dedicated to helping women grow spiritually and become the women God wants them to be.

Women's Ministry Mission

The mission of Women's Ministries at Oxbow Lake Baptist Church is to encourage and equip women to grow in their walk with Christ through Bible Study, prayer, fellowship and mentoring. Our desire is that women may become Christ-like in their attitudes and behavior in their home, church and community.
The mission statement is used to design and measure all Women's Ministry Programs. All events and programs will include God's Word, the ultimate goal being to glorify God by enabling women to mature in their Christian walk.

WOMAN TO WOMAN, a part of the Ladies Ministry of Oxbow Lake Baptist Church , is an opportunity for women to seek God's leading in establishing the friendship of another woman and to be God's instrument in making a difference in each other's life. WOMAN TO WOMAN MINISTRY

Dear Ladies and Girls of Oxbow Lake Baptist Church,

Can Faith and Fashion go together? Absolutely!

Beginning Thursday, September 8, that is the topic we will be discussing in Ladies Ministry. Do you ever look at the clothes in your closet and “can’t find a thing to wear?!“ As Christian women we are sometimes hesitant to put too much emphasis on our outer appearance. Though God does look at the heart, He also says that we “speak” from what’s in our hearts. Psalm 45:11 says “so shall the King desire thy beauty. . . worship thou Him.”

In her book “Good Girls Don’t Have To Dress Bad,” author Shari Braendel with great insight shows us that many times the way we present ourselves “speaks” louder than words. We can witness to our faith in Christ by our personal appearance as well as in our actions.

We are going to have FUN learning our body type, personal complimentary colors, making accessories count and making a statement with hair and make-up. Remember, “a merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.” (Proverbs 15:13)

We wouldn’t forget our inspirational time, so we will have a short devotional on one or more Bible women each night. Did you know the Bible makes mention of over 1300 women? Don”t worry, we only have eight nights so some must be discussed another year!
